Dun Laoghaire Champion of Champions 2024

The delayed finals of this years Dun Laoghaire bowling Club Champion of Champions was played today the 8th of September on a dry but cold day.  Both Dun Laoghaire Champions Vivienne Beattie and Anto Grey  had made it through to the semi finals and both won their semi finals in the morning session.

However they were unable to repeat this success in the afternoon and the eventual champions were Noeleen Kelly of Crumlin B.C. that Kevin Marshall of Clontarf B. C,

Among the large attendance were An Cathaoirleach of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Councillor Jim O’Leary and the ILB President Anne O’Herlihy.  The prizes were present by An Cathaoirleach afterwards,

Below are some photos of the day.

IWBA Championships

Congratulations to Vivienne, Rita, and  Gay on making it to the IWBA Championship Finals in CYM.  In a thrilling semi final they beat a very strong team from the NIPGL on Saturday afternoon.  On to the final on Sunday when they put up a very strong performance against an even stronger PTWBA side.  Unfortunately victory was not to be theirs, hopefully next year.

They are pictured below with IWBA President Jacqui Byrne with their runner up medals and trophy.  Well done,
